Description: Silver fish that sits at the surface. Females sometimes have a black spot on their belly. Iridecent purple is sometimes present along the sides.

Notes: These fish are very easy to keep! They breed readily and bearlive young! The females can be recognized from the males becaues they lack a gonopodium. Check out our melanistic (black pigment present) pair of Gambusia! Only males can be melanistic and it does not breed true. I have heard that this gene makes the fish more resistant to fungus, but I dont know if its true or not!
